If you know someone working behind the scenes to get good food to Manitobans, whether by starting a community garden or championing for healthier foods in schools and workplaces, nominate them for the 2010 Golden Carrot Awards, Food Matters Manitoba's annual recognition of food champions in our province.

Golden Carrot Awards will be given to winners in of the following categories: Rural Community Food Champion, Urban Community Food Champion, Northern Community Food Champion, Media Community Food Champion, Business Community Food Champion, and Education Community Food Champion.

Nomination forms are available at www.foodmattersmanitoba.ca, and can be submitted until Aug. 15, 2010. The awards will be presented and all nominees recognized on Oct. 15, 2010 in celebration of World Food Day.
